DofE expeditions aim to “inspire young people to develop initiative and a spirit of adventure and discovery, by planning, training for and completing an adventurous journey as part of a team.” Participants team up in groups of between four and seven members to plan, undergo training and complete: first a practice expedition and then a qualifying unaccompanied, self-reliant expedition with an agreed aim. At Wildcountry Consultants we can work with you to design a suitable program of training and expeditions at bronze, silver or gold levels to help your young people complete the expedition section of the award. This can include a full training and expedition package or you may prefer to deliver elements, or all, of the training yourself and opt for only the provision of supervisors and accredited assessors for practice and qualifying expeditions. << back to DofE award    more >>   mercer design
