DofE Open expeditions

Wildcountry consultants run a programme of open expeditions for individuals and small groups. This is an ideal way for participants who do not have access to a DofE programme or who, due to other commitments, cannot match their schools/organisations dates.

In order to complete the Expedition section you must first complete a programme of training then a practice expedition of suitable duration for the level of the award you are undertaking.

Having completed a practice expedition you must then plan and complete a qualifying expedition of 2, 3 or 4 days.

2012 Gold Practice and Qulaifying Expedition Dates

• Wednesday 4th - Monday 9th April Brecon Beacons East
• Saturday 14th - Thursday 19th July  Brecon Beacon
• Monday 15th ~ Saturday 20th October Brecon Beacons

For groups of six and above we can run bespoke expeditions on dates that suit you, contact us for details.

All Packages consist of either a one or two day pre-expedition training, checks and briefings and route planning then a four, three or two day expedition.

For bespoke groups this can be shortened to one days training

Cost £40 p/person p/day
